What we do
Most buying advice stops at "here is a list". We want to show what is behind a recommendation, and be clear about what we know and what we do not.
Explain what features actually matter
Our guides connect features to how people live: floor types, pets, home size and upkeep, rather than to marketing.
Track product prices
We are building a price-tracking system so that a price can be seen in context. Nothing is displayed yet, and we will not create history that did not happen.
Highlight value, not just the biggest spec
Our guide on value is live. Published, transparent value scoring is in development and will state its criteria before any ranking appears.
Help you decide: buy now or wait
Once we hold real price history, we intend to show how a current price compares with what has been tracked. History informs a decision; it cannot predict the future.
Our approach
BuyMetric is research-led and data-led. We do not pretend to have personally tested every product, and at present we do not carry out hands-on testing at all. Instead we aim to be useful by being careful: using sourced specifications, showing where information came from, and saying so when something is unknown.
Every statement we publish should fall into one of four clearly separate groups.
